Healthcare costs have been rising over the last 20-30 years with very little advance in longevity inherent to healthcare costs is wasteful expenditure, such as fraud, unnecessary tests etc. The advent of the COVID pandemic and its catastrophic effect on the world economy and increased healthcare costs have forced a re-examination of unnecessary costs as the healthcare budgets for all countries are squeezed yet further.
