Acute kidney injury (AKI) is associated with acute morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients. There are number of solutions for diagnosis. Clinicians should consider clinical context, such as cardiorenal syndrome, and assess nephrotoxic agents and combinations. Management of fluids and renal perfusion pressure are recommended as preventative measures in the ICU.
